1) What is one household chore you like to do?
Feed the animals.

2) Do you think you'll live to see a female president?
Knock on wood,yes.

3) Do you read movie reviews? If so, do they influence you?
I do. They only influence me if I'm going to go to the theater and pay the bucks. If something is panned across the board, I'm not going to pay $11.50 to see it. Once it's on dvd, everything is fair game.

4) How many times do you normally hit the snooze button when the alarm goes off?
I don't hit the snooze button, too dangerous. We keep the alarm clock across the room.

5) If you could have joined any television family in your childhood, which one would you have chosen?
I wanted to be adopted by Charlie's Angels.

6) What's the most annoying nickname you every endured?
Heifer--it had nothing to do with weight. Just a fun riff off Heather.

7) Who was the most supportive, inspiring teacher you ever had?
I've had the good fortune to have several. I couldn't pick just one.

8) Do you enjoy watching scary movies.
No, I really don't like to be scared.

Cook for company.

2) Do you think you'll live to see a female president?
Nope. We're not that enlightened.

3) Do you read movie reviews? If so, do they influence you?
Sometimes. Rarely. Depends on the reviewer. I like to make up my own opinion.

4) How many times do you normally hit the snooze button when the alarm goes off?
At least once, sometimes many more times than that.

5) If you could have joined any television family in your childhood, which one would you have chosen?
The Addams Family was more like what I grew up in, but The Brady Bunch is what I would have aspired to.

6) What's the most annoying nickname you every endured?
Lester Bester.

7) Who was the most supportive, inspiring teacher you ever had?
Miss Smith. I think about 5th grade.

8) Do you enjoy watching scary movies.
Absolutely not. I find nothing redeeming in them.

I LOVE to wipe down the bathroom every night. It makes me feel as though I actually know how to keep house. And I wanted to be Jan on the Brady Bunch. Failing that, I would have opted for Tracy on the Partridge Familyy. I could shake a tambourine like nobody's business.

Alas, no. But if Hillary started her own country, I'd join up.

My limit is two.

5) If you could have joined any television family in your childhood, which one would you have chosen?

Witchiepoo

7) Who was the most supportive, inspiring teacher you ever had?

1) What is one household chore you like to do?

I guess I get sick of cooking the least. But I do get tired of it to the point where we either go out to dinner or don't eat every now and again. I really am not very domestic at all and do not take pride or satisfaction in an orderly house. And it shows. It's sanitary. Anything more is gravy.

2) Do you think you'll live to see a female president?

Yes.

3) Do you read movie reviews? If so, do they influence you?

I read them. They remind me why I don't go to movies. So not really, since I wouldn't go to the movies in any case.

4) How many times do you normally hit the snooze button when the alarm goes off?

I don't. I have had the same alarm clock since I graduated high school. At this point I cannot physically sleep through that alarm. When the alarm goes off, I'm up.

5) If you could have joined any television family in your childhood, which one would you have chosen?

The cast of MASH. They were a family of sorts.

6) What's the most annoying nickname you ever endured?

Pass. It's still too painful.

7) Who was the most supportive, inspiring teacher you ever had?

"Uncle Bill" Laufenberg (we called him that only behind his back, but of course he knew!), history. He taught more than history, he taught me I had what it takes to succeed. I still tell some of the stories he told us to my husband. He's the one teacher I wish I could find again and tell him what an influence he was. But somehow I think he knows. And no, I didn't major in history (computers).

8) Do you enjoy watching scary movies.

No. I don't enjoy movies on the whole (specific ones are good, but I don't just "watch a movie"), and I don't like being scared recreationally.

3) Do you read movie reviews? If so, do they influence you?- Occasionally I do, but they don't really influence me.

4) How many times do you normally hit the snooze button when the alarm goes off?- I don't. I get right up because I hate oversleeping.

7) Who was the most supportive, inspiring teacher you ever had?- Madame Shaw, my high school French teacher. She was wonderful!

1) What is one household chore you like to do? I hate household chores. My mother has been making us do them since we could reach the sinks, so there isn't any one that I like. But alas, they have to be done.

2) Do you think you'll live to see a female president? I live in Canada, and we had a female prime minister for like 3 days, then the men voted her out. So not likely. I like the ides of it, but after working for several insane women, I am not sure how I would feel on having one run my country. We are just too emotional I think.

3) Do you read movie reviews? If so, do they influence you? Yep, all the time. It really depends on who reviews it - some reviewers are too harsh, others not harsh enough.

4) How many times do you normally hit the snooze button when the alarm goes off? None. I usually wake, then lay in bed for a few minutes before getting up.

5) If you could have joined any television family in your childhood, which one would you have chosen?Brady Bunch, since they had the most wicked house keeper, Alice!

6) What's the most annoying nickname you every endured? Gumby....cause I was always chewing gum.

2) Do you think you'll live to see a female president?

3) Do you read movie reviews? If so, do they influence you?
Occasionally read them and they influence me a bit. I like to make up my own mind.

4) How many times do you normally hit the snooze button when the alarm goes off?
Snooze button? Alarm? Haven't used either in so many years... probably the last time I set the alarm was when we took an early flight to DC for vacation more than two years ago.

5) If you could have joined any television family in your childhood, which one would you have chosen?
The Ingalls family, Little House on the Prairie. Always wanted to have a sister and to live on a farm.

6) What's the most annoying nickname you ever endured?
Most were cute or funny and I didn't mind them. A friend's father used to call me "Charlie" and that one seemed not so much annoying, just odd. I'm sure there were other nicknames that were never said to my face.

7) Who was the most supportive, inspiring teacher you ever had?
In high school, Miss Mull (business) and Mr. Gomez (Spanish). Both treated me as a unique person and didn't compare me to my older, popular, absolutely perfect brother. Now that I think of it, there's kind of annoying nickname: "you-must-be-Ted-Thompson's-sister." Umm, I have a name you know.

8) Do you enjoy watching scary movies.
No.

4) How many times do you normally hit the snooze button when the alarm goes off? I am retired, I go to bed with chickens and get up with the rooster. Just kidding, I don't have livestock, but I no longer get up with an alarm.

5) If you could have joined any television family in your childhood, which one would you have chosen? The Donna Reed Show. I so wanted to be Shelly Fabres.

6) What's the most annoying nickname you every endured? Cheekybod. It was because I had no figure and the friend that gave it to me did.

8) Do you enjoy watching scary movies. No! I still have a problem with an open closet door in my bedroom at night, all because of Poltergeist. If I leave the closet door open, I have nightmares of being snatched.

1) What is one household chore you like to do? None, really. I grew up with a mother who vacuumed twice a day whether the floors needed it or not. It really consumed too much time, and I realized early I could never live up to that kind of tidiness.

2) Do you think you'll live to see a female president? I sure hope so!

3) Do you read movie reviews? If so, do they influence you? Not at all.

4) How many times do you normally hit the snooze button when the alarm goes off? None.

7) Who was the most supportive, inspiring teacher you ever had? Mrs. Zebauer in high school. She really knew how to relate to teenagers.

8) Do you enjoy watching scary movies. Oh, I do! I don't care for slasher flicks with gratuitous gore, but a good psychological thriller draws me in!

2) Do you think you'll live to see a female president? I really hope so!

3) Do you read movie reviews? If so, do they influence you? I do not. I'm a fly by the seat of my pants kinda girl when it comes to movies.

4) How many times do you normally hit the snooze button when the alarm goes off? The alarm is never set. I automatically wake up at 6am every stinkin day. I blame my daughter. She's been an early riser since birth!

5) If you could have joined any television family in your childhood, which one would you have chosen? The Muppets on the Muppet Show. They were a family right?

6) What's the most annoying nickname you every endured? Beeker. Still have 2 friends to this day that will only call me Beeker.

7) Who was the most supportive, inspiring teacher you ever had? Mr. Phillips in 12th grade. He was funny, kind, and understanding. For our senior trip I didn't have any money to take with me because my family was broke. I barely had the costs of the trip covered by fundraising. The day we got on the bus to head out he handed me an envelope and didn't say a word. I sat down with my friends and opened it. He had given me 75 dollars. I cried and couldn't believe his generosity. I will never forget it as long as I live. AND every year he has a magnificent Christmas display of lights and music that I take my daughter to see. It has become a tradition in our house!

8) Do you enjoy watching scary movies? I do if it is a true scary movie and not just a gore fest. I find nothing interesting in blood and dismemberment. But give me a good scary movie that messes with your head, then I'm in!

Thanks for getting the ball rolling again MRS G!

1) What is one household chore you like to do? COOK and BAKE and eat! All the rest SUX!!

2) Do you think you'll live to see a female president?
Sure, why not? I saw that idiot asshat gov. of Arizona wagging her rude finger at Obama the other day and I was thinking "this batsh!t chick is gonna run for president one day and she wanted the cameras to capture this, her supposed greatest moment".

3) Do you read movie reviews? If so, do they influence you?
they sure do influence me. No way I am going to a movie until I read the reviews and hear the review on NPR too....

4) How many times do you normally hit the snooze button when the alarm goes off?
NEVER. I love getting up and getting the coffee, and even if I didn't my 2 dogs insist I get out of bed right away and take them out for the tinkle and breakfast. The wife, on the other hand, dawdles and I have to wake her up a couple of times. She is very cute when she is sleepy. Well, the little beagle usually goes out then comes back and jumps on the wife, which saves me bugging her to get up....

I wanted to marry Marcia Brady. THAT was the way I was gonna get into that family :)

6) What's the most annoying nickname you every endured?

With SO many things "out" of my control....putting things in order and making our home clean/organized (which by the way it is far from....but I have lowered my standards!) - is MY way of creating some sort of well being and satisfaction. Oh....so many.....but the one that jumps out to me right now, Mr. C.....he taught me that it was ok to stand up tall (because I was 5' 8" in 8th grade and towered over most boys....so I tended to walk bent over at the middle so I'd blend in....ha ha). He was a fun teacher who gave me a boost of confidence when I needed it the most.

8) Do you enjoy watching scary movies. I get upset watching the animal abuse commercials, I can't ever imagine watching people get tortured, murdered, etc. and getting any enjoyment out of it... I'm just not built that way (call me a sissy!)....and I'm always amazed at the people who seek it out! My grandkids LOVE those horror type things around Halloween, where you PAY to have the crap scared out of you??? I just can't relate! But, to each his own!

1) What is one household chore you like to do? I hate all of it. I should be living in a shack on a beach with just a hammock to lie in.

2) Do you think you'll live to see a female president? Not in America.

3) Do you read movie reviews? If so, do they influence you? I like reading Roger Ebert, they're like little essays; but I don't often see the movies he recommends most.

4) How many times do you normally hit the snooze button when the alarm goes off? don't hit it.

5) If you could have joined any television family in your childhood, which one would you have chosen? I loved "Julia," played by Diahann Carroll. My mom was a nurse, but she sure didn't act like Julia.

6) What's the most annoying nickname you every endured? can't recall, repressed all memories.

7) Who was the most supportive, inspiring teacher you ever had? there was a team of Eng. Lit teachers in 9th grade who were outstanding.

8) Do you enjoy watching scary movies. No.

1) What is one household chore you like to do?
I like most of them except cleaning out the tub. I like bringing order from chaos and enjoying the result.

2) Do you think you'll live to see a female president?
You know, I think so! It's within the realm of possibility now. A woman certainly can't do any worse than some of what the men in Washington have landed us in.

3) Do you read movie reviews? If so, do they influence you?
Sometimes - to both questions.

4) How many times do you normally hit the snooze button when the alarm goes off?
Between none and 10 depending on whether I have to be somewhere on time.

5) If you could have joined any television family in your childhood, which one would you have chosen?
This will date me - Leave It To Beaver was my family. I had a very happy, blessed childhood.

6) What's the most annoying nickname you every endured?
Since my real name is Bronwyn, I've had lots and lots and lots. When the TV show "Then Came Bronson" was on, I endured Bronson quite a lot. I hated that one.

7) Who was the most supportive, inspiring teacher you ever had?
Jane Leibich. Also Dean of our High School. She taught me that learning can be fun, and I passed it on to my students. RIP, Jane, you were what great teachers aspire to be.

8) Do you enjoy watching scary movies.
Nope. I deliberately avoid them. Don't want that stuff in my head, nor do I want to know the horrible things people can do. I sickens me that money is made from such trash. (Sorry - I've got quite a soapbox about this. Includes graphic crime shows.)

1) What is one household chore you like to do?
I don't know that there are actually any that I enjoy while doing them but I get great satisfaction on the rare occasions that enough of them have been done at once that my house actually looks clean and tidy. I can really easily get sucked in to organization projects, especially if they have to do with one of my hobbies.

2) Do you think you'll live to see a female president?
I'm 32 so yes, I'd better.

3) Do you read movie reviews? If so, do they influence you?
Yes. I haven't been to a theater in years but I do occasionally get DVDs from the library and prefer to watch things that I'm likely to really enjoy. I also read the reviews on kids movies from a variety of sources as a way to try and make sure they're what I consider appropriate.

4) How many times do you normally hit the snooze button when the alarm goes off?
I'm a morning person and a SAHM soI rarely have to use the alarm and almost never hit the snooze when I do use it.

5) If you could have joined any television family in your childhood, which one would you have chosen?
Anne Shirley and Marilla and Matthew from Anne of Green Gables. I know this technically isn't a tv show in the same sense but we really didn't get to watch much tv as kids and I loved Anne.

6) What's the most annoying nickname you every endured?
Monkey Gum. I was bit in the cheek by a pet monkey when visiting my grandparents in Thailand when I was 12. When I started back at school and the kids in my class found out, they started calling me Monkey Gum.

7) Who was the most supportive, inspiring teacher you ever had?
I've been lucky enough to have a number of them but a couple really stand out- My 9th grade honors English teacher and my independent study adviser from my last couple of years of college were both fantastic teachers, very supportive and encouraging, and I probably learned more from them than any other teachers I ever had.

8) Do you enjoy watching scary movies
Depends on the type of scary. Horror or ultra violent, no. Suspenseful and some thrillers, yes.

1) What is one household chore you like to do?

I don't mind laundry. There's something meditative about folding and putting things away. Ironing too.

2) Do you think you'll live to see a female president?

It's possible, but I'm not optimistic about it.

3) Do you read movie reviews? If so, do they influence you?

I don't seek them. I sometimes hear them on NPR. I often wish I could hear the reviewer after I see the movie - to compare notes.

4) How many times do you normally hit the snooze button when the alarm goes off?

If I hit it at all, it's ususally a lot.

5) If you could have joined any television family in your childhood, which one would you have chosen?

The Ingalls family, no question. Interestingly, I married into the Waltons. I had never seen a real family get along as this one does. "Ma and Pa" even live on a mountain.

6) What's the most annoying nickname you every endured?

Messup. Kids are cruel.

7) Who was the most supportive, inspiring teacher you ever had?

Mary Ann Ford who taught seventh grade English. I thought she was a whackadoo at the time, but I HATED that school and didn't appreciate her until long after I left. She taught me to write. I heard that she retired as principal of that school. I hope she changed the culture of the place. She was among the few who truly cared about the kids. The rest were nuns.

8) Do you enjoy watching scary movies.

Not generally, Shamaylan has done a few good ones. I love and think I know all the lines from JAWS, which scared the crap out me at the age of 9 (seriously, I wouldn't even go in the pool for the rest of the summer), but as an adult, I don't seek them out.

2) Do you think you'll live to see a female president? I hope so.

3) Do you read movie reviews? If so, do they influence you? Yes and Yes

4) How many times do you normally hit the snooze button when the alarm goes off? Once. I need to wake up slowly.

5) If you could have joined any television family in your childhood, which one would you have chosen? The Waltons

6) What's the most annoying nickname you every endured? 'Hon'. I guess that is why that marriage didn't last.

7) Who was the most supportive, inspiring teacher you ever had? I had several.

8) Do you enjoy watching scary movies. Not at all. I don't even like watching the commercials or previews for scary movies.

1) One household chore I don't mind doing: Thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and then putting on a big pot of soup to simmer.
2)Do you think you'll live to see a female president? I seriously hope so.
3) Do you read movie reviews? Sometimes. If I really respect the person writing it and I'm seeing it in a theater. I'm less discriminating if it's a dvd...or I'm driven by desperation.
4)If it's a work morning, I might hit it twice. It depends on how early I'm getting to my building and how late I was up the night before.
5) Desperately wanted to be a part of the Brady Bunch and then grow into Marlo Thomas on "That Girl" with my own apartment.
I craved independence and privacy.
6) Meathead. Never knew what it meant until I saw an episode of "All in the Family". Imagine my dismay...
7) In high school I had several. All were English Lit or History teachers. Lynda Alexander, Kay Dunn (taught me to write), Julie Mayfield, and Holmes Brannon. All were part of the reason why I specialized in both English and History. In college it was Zoltan Kosztolnyik for "The Ancient World" and Western Civ. What a lovely man!
8)In the right conditions I will watch...but not slasher films. Those are pointless. If it's historical--like David Fincher's "Zodiac"--I will watch it over and over.

1) What is one household chore you like to do? --I kinda enjoy shining up my granite countertops. We have a small kitchen, and I love the vanilla scent of the cleaner I use. 2) Do you think you'll live to see a female president? Yes, I do.

3) Do you read movie reviews? If so, do they influence you? Nope, however if a movie has a lot of hype around it I tend to not go and see it. Crazy, I know....

She was fantastic. I can still hear her say "Do it again. Again. Again. Now you've got it." about a particular ballet step we were learning.
